Name: Gorman Hardy

Sex and Gender: Male
A short and squat male with a pug mustachioed face and a badly receding hairline, Gorman Hardy is hardly the first person one thinks of to the position of Chief of the Federation Police Force, as he appears overweight and is known for a prodigious appetite. Despite this, in actuality, Hardy is shrewd and calculating, often playing upon the image of ‘incompetence’ that is attributed to him on his appearance alone in order to get others to drop their guards around him. He walks often with a limp that he claims was an injury of the Kromus War, despite that Hardy never served in the Confederation military, and had a myomer muscle replacement in his upper right arm that is distinguished by the off color and somewhat misshaped form of the artificial skin grafts.

Other Information:
Despite being born on a Confederation Colony in Gamma Trianguli, Hardy began his career quite early with the Federation after turning down a scholarship to the Yasmin Goudai Academy of Applied Sciences, and instead began a career with the Galactic Federation Police at the age of eighteen. It is thought that due to his homeworld being in the further borders of Confederation space, Hardy was more exposed to the views and attitudes of the Federation than his own species, particularly those of the then-in-power Fro'mal Party that proscribed a restricted amount of political power to the outer worlds. His opinions of the Confederation are low, more than once admitting to belief that his own people are far too violent and “savage" to be allowed any kind of political power in the affairs of the greater galaxy. It is ironic that his appointment as Chief of Federation Police was meant by Chairman Kea'ton as a sincere gesture of faith in his platform of greater power to the outer worlds, and Hardy has aligned himself with the same ideology that has tried to suppress those same worlds from affecting the course of the Orion Spur.
