How did you get here? The journey doesn't matter. The journey you take now that you're here is what is most important.

On behalf of all members and staff, we welcome you to this unique place that we have created.

Monomachiarum was created with the belief that creation should not be limited. Our universe is entirely created by lore supplied by our members, with stories shaped by the characters that inhabit this wonderful place.
For the writers behind the characters and the fantasy, we created Monomachiarum with hopes that this would be a safe haven for those who wish to explore their creativity and take part in this adventure.
Above all, we are a family that is dedicated to helping one another grow and succeed as writers and creators.

If you are a potential member, I hope that reading through this will give you a reason to consider joining us. Each member is a part of our family and each writer is cherished individually.

GETTING STARTED

Now that you've had a little bit of a taste of what we have to offer, this section is the most important one that you can read. This is the information necessary for getting started.

If you haven't already, make a forum account. All it takes is an email and you're good to go, and you'll be able to add other accounts for other characters to your email. Managing them all is done by initially logging in.
Once your account is made, you can go into your account settings and profile information. You can add a nice avatar for your profile and check out the different themes that we have. You will also need to change your display name to your character name. Getting used to the site is an important step in your journey here, as I know most of you are probably not familiar with forums. If you are, it might have been a while since you've seen this setup. Proboards has changed since the golden era of forum roleplay.

Next, you should probably look into what form of communication works best for you. The majority of our members are Discord users and we have a server dedicated to the going-ons of the site.
We're also looking to expand into having a Facebook group and add site updates to our Twitter account.
The important part is establishing where you would like us to get in touch with you in the event of site maintenance or just updating on current events. Also, so members who would like to roleplay can get in touch with you or get one of us to get a hold of you on their behalf.

Great! Now you've made significant progress. Since you're reading this, I'm sure you're making steps as well.
Reading the handbook is probably the last of the steps necessary. This is a place where we've condensed all the information that you need to succeed. Sure, it's a lot of reading but we wouldn't be roleplayers if we didn't love to read.
