A skilled warrior and brilliant tactician, Sel's claim to the title of Arbiter is well earned. While relatively unproven compared to the Arbiters of previous generations due to his birth in a prolonged period of peace, 'Narai was among the very few and rare individuals of his generation to earn the coveted "-ai" suffix to his clan name. Building an impressive career among his peoples' anti piracy fleets, Sel earned almost unrivaled acclaim suppressing a nascent rebellion among the more militant Sangheili factions dissatisfied with over a century lacking any military involvement following the end of the Second Machine War.

Other Information: Fairly typical of most Sangheili at a glance in terms of physical appearances, most could be forgiven for overlooking Sel if he were to be placed in a crowd among his own kind - there are plenty of individuals larger, faster, stronger and of greater overall presence. In many ways his ascension to the post of Arbiter serves to reflect his peoples' belief that one's position should directly correspond to your individual successes, with all of Sel's achievements and personal abilities having been hard fought and well earned - including the ancient silver armor of his position. Like most of his people Sel has little patience for political games and has never prescribed to any speciest belief in one race's superiority over another, something that has put him at direct odds with the Galactic Federation since its inception only five years after being named the current Arbiter. While willing to work with and alongside them should circumstances call for it many of the Nation States' current isolationist policies and closed borders when dealing with the Federation can be directly attributed to his influence, the obvious exceptions to this being the Terran Confederation and the handful of other client states under the protection of Sangheili fleets.
