The Basics Name || Aniya Sobeck Nicknames || Age || Physically 15. Chronological age is unknown, at least a millenium. Birthday || September 13th Species || Tenno-Human Gender || Female Alignment/Faction || Chaotic Neutral/Unaffiliated Sexuality || Uncertain. She's been in a freezer for all she can currently remember, but finding a bunk mate is the last thing on her mind.
The Appearance Face Claim || Aloy, Horizon: Zero Dawn Height & Weight || 5'6" 130 lbs Identifying Features || Burnished brown-red hair, and inhumanely green gem-like eyes. They tend to go black with glowing light points when she channels the Void. Overall || Aniya is of middle average height, but broad and stocky. Her personal sense of attire is using what she has scavenged from the former dwellings of the Orokin, typically attired in protective combat gear that has a few touches of the decadent tastes of the former rulers of civilization, but also some more primal elements to her attire, much borrowed from the Cestus plains people. For her, it is retaking what the Orokin stole from the people of the Origin system, and what they took from her specifically.
The Personality Personal Strengths || Like any Tenno, Aniya is possessed of an iron will, and her sense of individuality tends to keep her steady as far as her own goals. She also has little in the way of personal shame, though this can hinder her. Personal Weaknesses || Aniya is angry. Very angry, and it paints many of her perceptions. She has become increasingly bitter since she had been recalling her memories of the Old War, and finding out what has become of the Origin System, perhaps driving her to a more self-centered view than she would have previously had, which makes her interactions with others strained. Aniya is also sometimes far too locked into her opinions and might not consider what others might have to tell her, as well as narrow her focus to nearing unbending. Goals || Aniya wants her life, to make her decisions of who she will be. Be it by ending the conflict with the Sentients, or even leaving the Origin System to its own devices, she wants her freedom. Fears || Being nothing more than a pawn, to never truly be her own self. Overall || Aniya is a girl affected heavily by anger, trauma, and repeated betrayals of trust. She has long ago lost faith in anyone belonging to the Origin System, and even before the horrible revelations of the Lotus and her turning heel for the Sentients, Aniya already had distrust for the self-appointed mother figure of the Tenno. It leaves Aniya paranoid to some degrees of anyone who claims to be altruistic and benevolent in intentions, and her ability to socialize is limited even among her fellow Tenno.
She also is wary of becoming too close to anyone, after what happened on the Zariman Ten-Zero with her family and being forced to kill not only the other Void maddened adults, but also her own insane and lost mother. Even telling herself that what she killed only wore her mother's face, it still has not helped the guilt and self-loathing that came from failing to protect her younger sister. She also suffered seeing a number of her few friends killed in the Old War, including the Tenno Operator of Gara at the Fields of Eidolon. As such, Aniya is something of a pariah even with others of her kind, with only her Valkyr Frame as her one trusted companion.
The History Family Information || Like all Tenno, Aniya's parents are dead. Killed on the Zariman Ten-Zero after the jump into the Void, and madness took all the adults. Her father died first, murdered by his fellow crew before he could be consumed by the chaos. Her mother was less fortunate, becoming one of the maddened who helped kill her partner. Her sister, perhaps, was the one who suffered most before death; brutalized by the insane adults, and then cannibalized by the crew. Homeworld || Eton'Oro. History || Aniya was born into a lower standing family and not of Orokin blood, leaving Aniya, her sister, and their parents to be considered third class citizens and the perfect expendable subjects for the Zariman Ten-Zero. It was seen as a step up from their previous station, and to colonize a new system would mean a change in social worth for them. Little did they know the horrors that awaited as the colony vessel jumped into the Void, and the adult population was driven insane by exposure to the chaotic energies there. Her mother was the first, turning on and brutally murdering Aniya's father before insanity could take him as well. The Sobeck siblings ran before they were next, but it was only a matter of days before the younger of the two was found and subjected to unspeakable acts before the maddened adults cannibalized her, something that Aniya saw with her own eyes and has blocked out from her own memory.
It was after that, Aniya was found by others. Children who had survived and were seemingly untouched by the madness, though it was clear they had not escaped the touch of the Void. Banded together, the only way to survive became to do the unthinkable, and begin putting their own lost parents down, like rabid animals. None of them knew how long it was, but eventually the Zariman Ten-Zero reemerged from the Void and would be found drifting through the Origin System. When they were found finally, Aniya was one of the most violent to be taken back to Eton'Oro for study of what the Void had done to her and the other children.
Other Information || N/A
The Verse-specific details Abilities || Beyond a basic grasp of using Void energies in offensive fashions for self defense when disconnected from her Frame, Aniya does not possess some of the higher masteries of Void combat that her peers have learned in the time since the Lotus began awakening the Tenno for whatever means she had in mind. She has not been Awake long enough to begin considering what she may be capable of on her own, as the Orokin forced the Tenno to focus their skills with the Frames and not exploring the powers gifted them by the Void. Skills || Aniya is touched by the Void, like the other survivors of the Zariman Ten-Zero, gifted with many abilities that are still not understood. She has been trained in many of the traits that had been discovered by Orokin scientists, but more perhaps have not yet been recorded or even known by any Tenno. Her basic grasp of these Void gifts have been hammered down into channeling such energies into momentary boosts of speed and reactive reflexes, and brief concussive bursts that can throw the target back several feet. While putting her ahead of any normal human, Aniya is hardly, in any regard, one of the more powerful of the Tenno as it stands. Training || As a Tenno, Aniya was trained to be a psionic killing machine, commanding the powers of the Void and her Warframe to fight the Sentients in the name of the Orokin. She was drilled by the best Dax soldiers in the fundamentals of hand to hand combat and ranged weaponry, as such would enhance the operational skills used during Frame Transference. Combat Strengths || Like all Tenno, Aniya is empowered with unique abilities by the chaotic energies of the Void. Her ability to command the brute power of a Warframe is by far one of the greater strengths of the Tenna, and her rage often makes for a frightening display of brutality on the field that can intimidate many a hardened soldier into thinking twice. Combat Weaknesses || Due to the reliance the Tenno were taught to have on their Frames, Aniya has little practical combat experience for herself, and can grossly misjudge her own physical abilities. Her anger is also just as much a weakness as it is a strength, as it can drive her to ignore other threats or pressing objectives if her focus can be drawn to something that infuriates her, even for petty reasons.
Additional Details || Weapons || Aniya doesn't carry any personal weapons of her own, currently, none that she had personal attachment to, as her Frame is her main means of combat. She still possesses a standard design Mote Amp for use with her Void gifts, but beyond this, it's her and her Frame. Ship || Aniyo possesses a standard Tenno Orbiter ship and a Liset class landing craft. Neither one possesses FTL travel capability on it's own, instead having a Near-Speed of Light relativistic drive to allow inter-planet travel within reasonable spans of time. Current Story ||Aniya was woken up from the Reservoir within only the last month to find out the betrayal of the Lotus, the events surrounding much of the destabilization of the Origin system, and the impending return of the Sentients. Her resuscitation from the deeper cryo vaults of the Reservoir by agents of Nora Night was followed by Aniya's recovery of her Valkyr Frame and her Orbiter homecraft, leaving her currently as a wild and unchecked figure in the Origin system who has no guidance to lead her save Aniya's own moral reasoning, and the occasional request from the Nightwave.
The Roleplayer Pen Name || The Chozo Huntress Age || Insert hysterical laughter Yeah, I'm over 18. Other Characters here on Monomachiarum || Samus, Shepard, Edea A119 Roleplay Sample || Screams. Tears. The laughter. The broken crazed eyes, blood on their faces and hands, cuts and gouges in their skin.
And it wasn't even the adults who had been driven mad by this place they had been trapped in. It was her. A fifteen year old girl. Sitting there there, laughing as the insane reality of what she had just accomplished dawned on her. Her hands red, her mother's face staring at her, blankly, a cooling corpse merely feet away.
Three more bodies were there, flesh flayed somehow by her screams of rage when they had found her, separated from the other children who still survived. They were also dead, but they hadn't been so personal as the thing that had been her mother. A beast wearing a human face. That's how she kept trying to tell herself that it wasn't her mother, hadn't been since the madness had taken the grownups, yet spared the children and adolescents.
And made them into...things she wasn't sure of still.
But...was it just a mindless insane beast wearing her mother's face? Was it just a monster pretending to look human? Or had she been in there still? What had any of them become?
And looking at her own blood covered hands, remembering what she had done...Aniya had to ask if she hadn't in fact become the monster.
