The Personality
Personal Strengths || Extremely adept at taking things apart, often very comforting to Paul. Technologically minded, Paul will often use his abilities to repair and even upgrade technology to help him and others. Always ready to share his objects, Paul is a very giving individual.
Personal Weaknesses || In stressful situations Paul is prone to making mistakes. While technologically minded, new technology or unfamiliar technology will easily frustrate Paul. While Paul can empathize and understand other sapients, he is alone. He does not feel he belongs, as the only member of his kind.
Goals || To eventually gain enough capital to begin an Uplift program to create more like himself.
Fears || Death before his goals can be achieved, extreme heat and deserts
Overall || Paul is a complicated cephalopod overall. In mindset he is rather odd and bizarre, able to be defined by his unique Hanar-like language composed of changing skin colors and waves of his multiple arms and tentacles. Complicating this is his cephalopod nature of intense curiosity and desire to see things change around him.
Paul often finds specific foods, such as spiced shellfish or barbecue chicken as sufficient payment for services rendered. Paul similarly has a habit of eating live fish, mice, and most anything small enough to be picked up and fit in his beak.
Combined with his unique uplift status, Paul is one of the strangest sophonts in the universe.
The History
Family Information || Paul's only family was a rather cannibalistic mother, and his Creator, Johan Zerich.
Homeworld || Earth
History || Created solely as a thought experiment into the viability of Squid Uplifts by university professor Johan Zerich, Paul's early life consisted of being taught thoroughly through a water-proof touchpad in a large aquarium. Studying anything that caught his rather expansive and curious eyes, he explored the information sphere and dedicated himself to understanding the ins and outs of data itself. Technology, how it worked, how it came apart, how it could be fixed… and how it could be upgraded.
Eventually, the Humboldt Squid was given an opportunity by his creator. "Go out into the Galaxy, create a name for yourself, and see if perhaps you can't find a way to make more like you!" This was rather considered a poor and tasteless joke by Zerich's colleagues, but Paul took it to heart. He would travel the universe and work to end the one feeling that had never ended him.
Lonliness.

The Verse-specific details
Abilities || Camouflage, Polymath capabilities, 6 arms and two tentacles allowing for multitasking, rather speedy with his hovering technology built in, toothy suckers, mild regenerative capabilities such regrowing arms and healing cuts fast.
Skills || Due to his brains mathematical and technology driven mindset, he is an adept engineer, capable of fixing and upgrading quite a bit of technology. As well, Paul is an extremely well trained hacker, taking pride in his ability to dismantle coding systems.
Training || Studying anything that caught his rather expansive and curious eyes, he explored the information sphere and dedicated himself to understanding the ins and outs of data itself. Technology, how it worked, how it came apart, how it could be fixed… and how it could be upgraded. Extremely lacking in combat training. Although competent in a fight, it's more raw instinct than any training, and can easily be overwhelmed in any fight. Lacking any h 76 the most minimal "hold the gun steady and shoot", Paul is inept with firearms.
Combat Strengths || Through use of his ability to change the colorr and texture of his skin he can easily blend in with most surroundings, allowing him to gain the drop on enemies. Each tentacle and arm possesses the same strength as an average human, allowing for rather crushing pressure when using all at once, combined with his suckers possessing small teeth around their rings to cut into exposed skin. Combined with a parrot-like beak able to break open most crustaceans shells, and nip off fingers and small sensitive spots such as inner arms and noses, Paul is a rather dirty and underhanded combatant.
Combat Weaknesses || While strong due to his cephalopod heritage, and fast due to his hovering technology, he is extremely sensitive to physical attacks and blows due to his complicated squid biology. A blow of sufficient force could easily stop his heart.
Additional Details || Anything that was missed that you would like to note, do so here.
Weapons || Several arc welders and a simple M-3 Predator pistol
Ship || None, relies on public transport and stowing away.
Current Story || Having left his old home and boarded the Galactic Rail Line, Paul has made it his mission to find a place where he could create more like himself, more sapients like him. Currently, this involves his travels to the Citadel, intent on finding directions to anyone who might be able to help him. Although a downside to this has been that treatment and attitude towards him has shown itself to be rather draconian. Still, the uplifted cephalopod searches for anyway to gain access to a ship. And perhaps... even a group of tolerant minded souls.

"So squiddie, are you buying anything?"
The small shop on the Citadel was fascinating to Paul. Currently he had been enthralled with a small triangular puzzle that seemed to be daring him to try and figure out its secrets. Though, the shops rather angry and curmudgeonly acting Asari owner seemed to be wanting him to either make a purchase or leave.
So very very hasty, then again he could understand. His Guise showed the annoyance he felt through a bright coloration of rippling red stripes and black pinpricks, while his Reach was still working on the puzzle. Currently, his Crown was intent on conversing with the Asari.
"I apologize for my actions, but currently I am testing to see if your object is worth the credits I have or if it is analogous to a childs toy."
"I'm sorry, but right now I'm just seeing if your little puzzle is worth the 80 credits or if I should just put it back since I'm not a child."
"Why- GET OUT YOU RUDE PRE-SENTIENT CALAMARI!"
Immediately dropping the puzzle, the Humboldt squid began floating out of the shops door.
"I apologize, but I am no longer coming back to your business due to your rather rude behavior."
"See if I ever come back ya rude bitch."Anything Else || any questions or comments you might have, either to the admin, or other people who wish to interact with your character
