Beeps and Clicks echoed within the Laboratory, hissing, bubbling, and the sizzle of chemicals a soft melody within the ambiance of what could only be described as more of a mad house mixed with a menagerie of strange organic specimens, coiled within tubes. Yet, it was a common sight, and for the owner of said lab, it was home.

Well. It literally was, he slept in the place after all, even though he has an actual Personal Quarters. Perhaps he should use that room more often…

Now normally one would question all this set thought and mental speech, perhaps even speak to a doctor or a therapist, that was probably the smartest idea…


Instead, clawed fingers tapped at a screen, a soft cough following as he cleared his throat, darkened circles marking his, ahem 'Well rested eyes' as he called them.

Doubtful any sane person would believe that in the slightest.


"Log 69…. Heh. The experiment has… born little fruition it seems, genetic samples taken from the host have not changed, they have not broken down even in the slightest, instead, they've dissolved into rather useless biomatter, I'll have to ask the Lord when he returns for more, but these specimens are truly unremarkable. What soldiers do volunteer are far too old, while the prime specimens are… sadly able to recover, or are in stable enough condition that I cannot have them, as the Lord has stated in our agreements on what 'Viable test subjects' are ...." The Priest paused for a moment as if considering or digging deeper into his drug-crazed, hazed memory for some form of scenario, most likely a loophole in the promises he made to those that ranked higher than him… so. One or two people truly.

Before sighing and accepting any loopholes would not be approved of, or viewed favorably by the Fleet Master.

"....Ash'kar has thought this through, he knows me far too well, better than most….hnn… very well, he wins… oh dear, is this still on? How does…. No... No, not that one. Is it this one?" His eyes squinted, tapping across the screen, before finally swiping and ending the recording, filing it away for later use.

Most would be horrified by the concept of their Clan Leader seeing such a blatant wish to find loopholes in deals, however, the Priest didn't falter in the slightest. Ash'kar knew [IB]Exactly[/ib] what he was getting into when he took Savage Talon over another Tech-Priest, the Protegee traded traditional, limited and narrow-minded teachings of most others, for a far broader, yet also far more chaotic scientific method, that required the Fleet Master to on, most likely multiple occasions, stepping in to truly pull the Mad Scientist's leash.

Though those situations were Rare and Far spread, they did happen, sadly Universal and Organic rights and such…

Though in Savage Talon's opinion, he felt those rights should be far more limited to grievous criminals, something he may have to bring up to the Clan Leader at a later date.

"... Perhaps I can dissect a war criminal if he does form an alliance with another world. I'm sure they wouldn't mind, some may even watch, truly it would be a learning experience, and any 'lack of restraint' will be filed away and ignored….-" His black, Gilded robes shifted as he rubbed his chin with one hand, the other arm crossing to support it at the elbow as he hummed.

All while nearby Guards slowly, and, possibly nervously, looked at each other at those comments. Then again, standing guard at Talon's lab was most likely considered a punishment amongst the Clan soldiers at this rate. Not that it was bad, no he simply blabbered and ranted about less than sane things, while injecting enough chemicals into his hardened flesh to make most addicts wince in concern of any possible overdoses one would have with that much 'Thinking Fuel' as he called it, coursing through one's veins.

Oh well. A means to an end, as long as he did his job and didn't blow up the base, most simply left him to his own devices.
